SBIR Funding Phase Types
Phase 1 SBIR Awards are geared towards helping entrepreneurs and new business owners establish the commercial potential and feasibility of the research and development of their businesses. These awards tend to be between $50,000-$250,000 for 6 months. The objective of phase 2 SBIR Awards are to continue the developmental efforts from Phase 1. These awards are about $750,000 for 2 years.
